Words from the Heart

Working with Rory and Respite Care Resources has been such a positive experience and I’m so grateful! With constant communication and a management that truly cares about the caregivers and their clients, I’m proud to work for this company. I feel comfortable, safe, and valued as a caregiver. Rory worked to find the perfect client match that met my exact needs and pay and the entire process flowed beautifully. I’m currently working with a family I truly love and a client that I am so happy to care for. I recommend RCR to anyone who needs a trustworthy company that you can feel confident in with your family or loved one.

I’ve just recently began working with Rory and Respite Care Resources, and have had only positive experiences. Rory is diligent and detail oriented, and I trust that he does what is right by the caregivers, the clients and their families 100% of the time. Even after being paired with a client, Rory continuously checks in and that is what makes for a great care team. I would highly recommend RCR for anyone in search of a caregiver.

My name is Leo and I was one of the first caregivers to come onboard when Respite Care Resources launched. I worked with 3 families and took care of their loved ones, in their homes. I felt at home, to support their loved ones, and create a rapport with the families. My experience has been one that worked well for the person I supported, the family and myself. The families trusted my judgement and approach. Lastly, I recommend any prospective caregiver to take up services with Respite Care Resources as they are professional and do support you in dealing with families.

To any prospective caregiver, please remember you are in capable hands as you deal with Rory!

Rory and respitecr.com have been so amazingly helpful to us in finding two fabulous PSW's to spend time with our 23 year old autistic son Chris. We have had a hard time this past summer finding new PSW's and Rory came through for us. Both of our new workers are so loving, mature, considerate, punctual, reliable, and passionate about their positions. They both love to spend time with Chris and take him out into the community, which makes us feel so much more at ease. We have had workers in our home for many years and never have we used such a helpful site as respitecr.com. Thanks to Rory for developing such an amazing resource for parents of special needs kids. We need all the help we can get!

Rory has been an excellent personal support worker for our son Keshav. We needed help in early morning in the month of cold winter February. Rory happily took the challenge of being here on time. His task was to get Keshav ready for school. Rory was able to easily adapt to Keshav's morning routine.

Rory was punctual every day, woke Keshav up from his bed, followed his care plan by giving Keshav enough time to stretch and be awake, while he got his breakfast and clothes ready.

Keshav was happy and went to school well dressed and timely fed. Keshav and we look forward to work with Rory again soon.

"I wanted to let anyone who is thinking about getting a personal support worker know that it had changed my sons life. Tommy is a 30 year old man with Autism. Having Rory as Tommy's personal support worker has brought such joy to Tommy's life. He can't wait each week to be picked up by his buddy to go out in the community and hang out with his friend just like other guys do. Whether it's bowling, playing catch or just talking over dinner, Tommy feels so special having somebody who wants to spend time with him!

From a family standpoint, I can't say enough on how much it helps us out. We can go away for the day or even for a weekend and know that Tommy is safe and being taken care of.

The day we met Rory was a true blessing for us and we are thankful everyday that he has come into our live's."

"Rory introduced our family to Leo. Our son, Jack, is 21 years old has autism and a lot of energy. Leo has been so helpful to my husband and I providing great care for Jack. His presence allows us a break from parenting to go out with family and friends. Leo is a kind and gentle person with many years of experience working with adults with disabilities. We are grateful for Leo and the care he continues to provide to our family."

"I would like to say having met Rory has been an answer to my prayers. My son John has been living with me in Elmhurst,IL. for the past eight years. John is 47 and was once able to live in his own Condo, get himself to work. How truly blessed I was. John has Cerebral Palsey, epilepsy and now severe depression. I have been looking for someone to be a Buddy for him. I found that in Rory. The company he is with is needed badly. I am getting older and I really wanted John to have someone to spend time with. All the friends he has are mostly from LaGrange Area. I also wanted him to have a Guy Friend. He has enough women in his life! The last three weeks have been great. John looks forward to his time spent with Rory. I have no worries when they are together. Thank You Rory for doing this type of work."

"Having Rory and Stephanie is a wonderful gift to our family, especially to our special needs children Genevieve and Bobby. One of our children has a rare genetic disorder, Prader-Willi Syndrome. Our other child has intractable epilepsy. Rory and Stephanie are at our home four days a week. It feels like they are part of our family. They are very kind and warm to my typical children as well. Both have even met grandma and grandpa several times. Both caregivers are always willing to help out with whatever I or my children need. They are cheerful, positive, punctual, reliable, mature, calm, and supportive of our son and daughter with special needs. I have complete confidence in their abilities to deal with behavior issues, administer medication, and respond to any medical emergency including convulsive seizures. We are extremely blessed to have Rory and Stephanie care for our children. They truly are treasures!"
